Open only to international students
Dear Potential Applicants
First of all, thank you for your interest in our program.
If you are looking for a place to
(1) improve your teaching skills
(2) learn the fundamental theories and concepts in learning and instruction
(3) switch or pursue a cross-field training in education
(4) experience teachings in a cross-cultural setting (Taiwan)
Our program might be the right place for you.
International Master's Program of Learning and Instruction focuses on learner-centered instruction and provides training on innovative teachings such as cooperative learning, adaptive learning, and project-based learning to those who decide to join us.
We understand how difficult it is to step outside of your comfort zone especially travel to a foreign country. Thus, we provide various help in students' adaptations in Taiwan (both academically and socially).
One of the major concerns of students is financial support. NTUE provides two scholarships: (1) International Student Scholarship and
(2) Outstanding Student Scholarship (Please see our Home or Scholarships pages for more information).
To reduce students' application process loading, in the online application, there is a place where you can indicate that you are interested in applying for these scholarships. Therefore, no additional application materials for the scholarship is necessary.
We will make a decision based on the application materials that you submitted.
However, based on our students’ experience, we think it's much better if a student can get a scholarship from the Taiwan government. It usually gives you monthly stipends, which helps you to cover the tuition and living expense. In short, it’s better if you try the Taiwan Scholarship first and many of our students have the Taiwanese Scholarship.
Here is the link for the Taiwan Scholarship. If you look at (or click on) the left side panel where it said “Scholarships for Degree", it will give you four links. Please check to see if you are eligible to apply.
For those of you who are concern about the tuition and other miscellaneous fees. The estimated total cost is about 52,600 NTD, which is about 1,700 USD. per semester. You can find the detail information here.
We understand that there are many concerns or questions regarding moving to a new country and there are different factors to be considered. If you have any questions, please let us know. We are more than happy to help.
Finally, here is the application information link.
You will be able to find:
(1) applicant eligibility criteria
(2) application deadline
(3) application documents.
Here is the application link. Again, look forward to hearing from you.

No, after you completed our program, you will have a master's degree in education.
